Job Description
The Graduate’s Programme is a 12 months programme aimed towards attaining skills and experience from the workplace. The Robben Island Museum (RIM) Graduate programme is structured work-based internship development programme focused on taking graduates from various Universities/ University of Technologies or any Institution of Higher Learning through a structured work plan to expand their work experience.
The individual will be placed with the Heritage Department where they be exposed to various fields such as Multi-Media, Nature Conservation and Museum and Heritage Studies as well as the Archive.
Desired Experience & Qualification:

Desired Experience & Qualification:
- Audio Visual/ Multi-Media Studies
- National Diploma in Nature Conservation
- Postgraduate Diploma in Museum and Heritage Studies
and Archive

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic Knowledge of financial concepts
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen or have a valid work permit.
- Recently certified ID and qualifications.
- Must be able to commit to 12 months.
- MS Office proficiency.
Job Type & Contract Length:
Successful candidates will enter a 12 months internship contract. The Graduates will enter a contract with RIM and be placed within the relevant departments within the museum for the duration of the internship.
