The Transcendance Group (TTG) invites applications for a Cybersecurity Learnership Opportunity designed for unemployed youth seeking to enter the high-demand ICT and cybersecurity sector.
This is a structured, accredited learnership programme, not a traditional job placement, combining:
- Formal theoretical training
- Practical workplace experience
- Real-world exposure to cybersecurity environments

This opportunity is a Learnership Programme, with a vacant job position to be opened upon successful completion for high-performing candidates.
This ensures that participants are not only trained, but also positioned for direct employment pathways within TTG or its partner network.
Main Responsibilities:
- Participate in structured cybersecurity training modules
- Assist with basic cybersecurity monitoring and reporting
- Support IT security processes and compliance activities
- Conduct basic vulnerability checks and system reviews
- Assist in incident reporting and documentation
- Participate in workplace-based projects and tasks
- Maintain learning logs and portfolio of evidence
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 / Matric (minimum requirement)
- Basic computer literacy (essential)
- Qualification or exposure in IT (advantageous but not required)
- Strong interest in cybersecurity and digital technologies
Competencies:
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and adapt
- Basic digital and technical aptitude
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Professional discipline and accountability
Requirements:
- Must be currently unemployed
- Aged between 18 – 35 years
- South African citizen
- Residing in the Western Cape (preferred)
- Willingness to commit to the full learnership duration
- Availability for both training and workplace components
Nice to have:
- Basic understanding of IT systems or networks
- Prior exposure to coding, networking, or cybersecurity concepts
- Interest in ethical hacking, data protection, or digital systems
- Participation in previous digital skills programmes
Job Type & Contract Length:
Fixed-Term Learnership Contract
Duration: 12 Months
This is a formal learnership contract, governed by SETA requirements, combining training and workplace learning.
Remuneration:
- Monthly stipend provided in line with MICTSETA guidelines

Hybrid Model:
- Classroom-based training sessions
- Workplace-based learning (on-site with host organisations)
- Limited online learning components where applicable

- Upon successful completion, a vacant cybersecurity-related job position will be opened, and high-performing learners will be prioritised for placement
